John Kunzo III and Meghan Allman, consultants in Bain’s Chicago office, share their journeys from growing up in Cleveland to finding their place at Bain. John, a self-described class clown, studied sociology at the University of Chicago and first learned about consulting when an upperclassman on campus introduced him to Bain’s Building Entrepreneurial Leaders (BEL) program. After exploring other industries, he found that Bain stood out from every other experience.
Meghan, a former competitive figure skater and business analytics major from Notre Dame, first applied to Bain’s Associate Consultant Internship program and wasn’t selected. But that didn't stop her from still pursuing Bain and later joining the firm after reapplying for the full-time Associate Consultant role. Once at Bain, Meghan found endless opportunities to build on the analytical mindset she developed through her work in sports analytics in college. Her curiosity for data-driven insights has since evolved into a passion for the intersection of healthcare and consumer wellness.
John and Meghan reflect on what makes Bain’s culture so distinct: authentic relationships, a commitment to learning, and a community that encourages people to bring their whole selves to work. If you’re curious about what makes Bain’s culture unique or how to find the place where you’ll truly thrive, this episode offers an inside look at what makes life at Bain so special.
