I started working in corporate finance in Nashville, TN after undergrad. While it provided a great foundation, I realized I wanted to explore other industries and capabilities. As I learned more about strategy consulting, I decided I wanted to pursue that and felt going to business school could be a great entry point. I spent two years in the woods in New England at Tuck, and while I was there got connected with Bain.
My time here has more than delivered on what I was looking for - experiencing a wide range of industries and capabilities, helping our clients solve some of their hardest problems, and working with the most talented, driven, and compassionate team members you can find.
Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?
Absolutely! Whether helping healthcare companies identify ways to deliver more efficient, targeted medical core or partnering with utility companies to help de-carbonize, I've been fortunate to work on some of society's most pressing issues. It's a great feeling to be energized by the work we do!

While there are many highlights, one that comes to mind is helping build a strategy and plan to modernize the power grid for a large, vertically integrated US utility company. We worked together to help identify ways to provide safe, reliable access to power while preparing the grid to accept more clean resources in the future. It continues to be one of the biggest challenges for utilities across the globe, and we were at the front of it. We leaned on the expertise and experience of our clients and partnered to chart a new path forward - it was a great experience all around!
