Harish Vemuri is a member of our Energy & Natural Resources practice, with a focus on Utilities & Renewables.
He has led multi-year performance transformations at several major utilities, helping improve strategic, operational, and financial outcomes. His work spans field force optimization, work management and scheduling redesigns, and targeted function improvements, including reliability and vegetation management. He has also driven strategic change across engineering, transmission and distribution, and support organizations.
Harish also supports clients across a range of energy transition and sustainability topics. His recent experience includes shaping 'greening' strategies such as designing a net-zero gas system, developing a point of view on the future of aviation, and accelerating growth for a leading plant-based meat manufacturer.
Beyond casework, Harish actively fosters our culture, having organized a West Coast Bain World Cup and been recognized with Bain LA’s Culture Carrier Award.
His professional journey has also included internships and externships across various sectors, including time with the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology in Accra, Nature’s Fynd, the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, Cooley LLP, the Women’s Tennis Association, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA in economics, with a minor in sports media, from the University of Southern California.
