Richard Allinson

Richard Allinson is a member of our Private Equity practice. He has significant strategy consulting experience working with private equity funds, portfolio companies, and corporate acquirers on topics across the end-to-end deal lifecycle.

Rich is primarily focused on B2B services, retail and consumer services, where he has extensive experience in all aspects of investment strategy development, due diligence, post-acquisition support and value creation plans, operational & organizational design and governance.

Rich also has deep experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and supports clients across sectors to identify and act upon the potential threats and opportunities from AI across their portfolio companies, new investment opportunities and their own internal operations. Rich has been central to the development of Bain’s approach to embedding GenAI assessment in due diligence, conducting GenAI impact assessments and embedding GenAI into strategy and value creation planning.

Outside of work, Rich is a keen endurance athlete and a frequent participant in long-distance triathlons, cycling, and trail running events. Rich also enjoys climbing and other outdoor pursuits, and he co-founded the UK climbing centre operator, The Font Climbing.
