Seow-Chien Chew is a senior partner and head of our Banking practice in the Asia-Pacific region. She currently serves on the firm’s global Board of Directors.
Seow-Chien’s focus is on strategy and transformation, with particular expertise in digital transformations. She advises leading banks and non-bank financial institutions on building new business models and propositions, leveraging digital, data, and AI strategies to enhance customer outcomes and business productivity. Additionally, Seow-Chien supports clients with operating model design, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Beyond her client work, Seow-Chien is the founder of our Southeast Asia Social Impact practice and leads the region's Women@Bain group. She is recognized as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
In addition to her contributions at Bain, Seow-Chien is deeply involved in her community. She is an active member of Singapore’s Future Economy Advisory Panel, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping Singapore's economic future. She also serves on the Board of Directors of HTX, a government agency focused on science and technology for homeland security
She received her MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School. She is a graduate of Cambridge University, where she earned her M. Phil in finance with distinction and BA/MA in economics with honors.
