LONDON – Dec. 16, 2019 – Bain & Company has expanded its European private equity team with two new senior hires. Yair Erez, an expert in healthcare and private equity, has joined the firm as a partner in London, while Claus Benkert, an experienced private equity operations expert, joins as a partner in Munich.
Yair has more than 10 years of consulting experience, with a particular focus on healthcare-related transactions. He worked on deals in the European healthcare space, covering buy-side due diligence, and helping portfolio companies thrive post- acquisition.
Prior to transaction work, Yair worked extensively with healthcare providers, payers and regulators on operations, finance and strategy. Yair has worked with investors and executives across Europe, the Middle East, North America and Eastern Europe. He is passionate about deal-making and smaller, fast-growing companies in the healthcare sector with a particular focus on healthcare IT and disruption through digital and advanced analytics. Prior to consulting, Yair practiced as an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist and was a partner at another management consultancy.
Dr Claus Benkert joins as a partner based in Munich. He has more than 25 years of international consulting experience and was most recently responsible for managing European portfolio companies at a prominent private equity fund. He focuses on value creation and growth programs involving digitalization and new technologies, acquisitions and integration, and process optimization and reorganization.
