Press release
BRUSSELS—February 25, 2026—Bain & Company today announced that Cédric Bovy, has been appointed as managing partner of its Amsterdam and Brussels offices and head of its Benelux cluster, leading the firm’s business across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, effective immediately.
With 20 years’ management consulting experience at Bain, Bovy takes over the role at a time of rapid growth in the firm’s Benelux business amid high client demand across the full range of its practices and capabilities.
As leader of Bain’s Benelux Private Equity and Financial Investors practice and a senior partner in the firm’s Consumer Products practice, Bovy brings to his new position deep and extensive experience advising a wide range of clients, including financial investors, family offices and PE-owned companies. He holds deep expertise in commercial and operational due diligence, financial investor firm strategy, corporate strategy, portfolio company value creation and performance improvement. In his career with Bain since 2006, Bovy has worked with clients across Europe and beyond, including in the Americas and the Middle East.
Based in Brussels, Bovy also previously served as leader of the Bain’s Brussels Talent and Human Resources team, helping to maintain and reinforce Bain’s unique, collaborative culture and driving the firm’s focus on lifelong learning across its teams. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MSc in Business Engineering from the Louvain School of Management (UCL), summa cum laude.
Tom de Waele, Bain & Company’s regional managing partner for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), said: “Cédric provides the leadership, experience and expertise to continue the great work across our offices in Amsterdam and Brussels to grow and strengthen our client portfolio, and bring the full range of Bain’s capabilities to further unlocking the great potential of this cluster. He combines proven commercial leadership, client impact, and operational experience required to unite and inspire our teams, and evolve our apprenticeship model, while also driving our innovation and AI agenda, and increasing commercial intensity.”
In addition to Bovy’s appointment, Bain also announced today that Vincent Goffin, partner in the firm’s Energy & Natural Resources and Private Equity practices, becomes head of its Brussels office. Goffin succeeds Caroline Grauwels who, under the firm’s rotational leadership model, returns to working full-time with clients as a leader in the firm’s global Consumer Products practice.
Bovy succeeds Nicolas Willemot, who led Bain’s Brussels office for over the past seven years, as well as its Amsterdam office since 2024. During the previous two-year period, Willemot, who was appointed as head of Bain’s global Consumer Products practice in January, successfully led the integration of both offices within its Benelux cluster, unlocking synergies to enable enhanced results and delivery for clients across the region.
Cédric Bovy said: “I’m energized to take on this role leading our teams in Brussels and Amsterdam and our Benelux cluster. Having worked closely with client, investors and company leadership teams across sectors in the region, I’ve seen how sustained results for clients come from sharp strategy and hands-on value creation. I’m excited to continue the outstanding work of my predecessor, Nicolas, in bringing the best of Bain – our expertise, collaboration, and apprenticeship culture – to our clients in the coming years, while continuing to deliver exceptional results for our clients and to develop the exceptional talent we have in our teams.”
Tom De Waele added: “As we have strategically strengthened the ties across our Benelux teams, Nicolas’s role and guidance have been invaluable. Under his stewardship our Brussels business and client portfolio have doubled. Nicolas has worked tirelessly to unite our Brussels and Amsterdam teams, with extraordinary multi-year client success stories to be proud of. He is a true role model as a client and people leader, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with him in his new role leading our Consumer Products practice.”
