WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join our Global Partner Analytics & Talent (GPAT) team, which supports the Worldwide Promotion Committee and drives global Partner assessment processes across Bain’s regions, offices, and practices.
The team also supports critical initiatives for Bain’s senior leadership, including the Worldwide Managing Partner, Regional Managing Partners, Chief Leadership Officer, CTO, CFO, and Board of Directors. You’ll work in an environment with significant exposure to senior stakeholders and highly confidential business and talent information.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As an Analyst within GPAT, you’ll be a key member of the Analytics team, delivering data-driven insights, financial analysis, and scalable reporting solutions to senior stakeholders across Bain.
You’ll combine financial analysis, business intelligence, and data transformation to help modernize and automate reporting processes. Your work will enable leadership to make faster and better-informed decisions related to Partner performance, compensation, and promotion diligence.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex datasets, building analytical solutions, and translating financial and operational information into clear insights for executive audiences.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop analyses and presentation materials that clearly communicate financial and operational issues, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve operations, reporting, and performance, independently designing analyses and recommending solutions
- Compile and analyze financial information by client and geography to support decisions by senior Bain leadership and the Compensation and Promotion Committee
- Analyze firm and Partner performance, taking ownership of financial analyses supporting Bain’s Partner compensation process
- Partner with senior Finance leadership to analyze trends, track management metrics, and develop recommendations
- Work closely with the Product team supporting the Partner Assessment System (PAS), including preparing datasets, analyses, and reporting outputs
- Build and maintain analytical models and reporting solutions using AI tools, Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx where appropriate
- Research, analyze, and respond to questions from office leadership, the Worldwide Promotion Committee, and Global and Regional Finance teams
- Support special projects and other analytical initiatives as needed
ABOUT YOU
Required Qualifications
- Advanced English
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
- 2–5+ years of progressive experience in a finance, analytics, or related quantitative role
- Excellent quantitative and analytical capabilities
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, data aggregation, lookups, and macros
- Experience working with large and complex datasets across multiple data sources
- Strong organizational, planning, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, accurate work
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
- Strong prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Python
- Experience with Alteryx
- Experience with Tableau
WORKING MODEL
This is a Hybrid role that requires your presence twice a week in our Mexico City GBS Office (Polanco)
