Bain & Company is bullish on Amazon’s entry into the Australian market, says that Amazon.com.au could become Australia’s sixth-largest retailer, with sales of between $8 billion and $10 billion, by 2022.

"It's still very early days," said Melanie Sanders, a partner with Bain & Company, to The Australian Financial Review. "Analysts only forecast out for a year but that's not a long enough horizon to be looking at the Amazon impact. They're doing everything we expected them to do and in some cases a lot quicker than we expected."
