Share your journey to Bain.

I went to Dartmouth College and started my career at a small consulting firm based in Boston after graduating. I made my way to another consulting firm via acquisition and spent most of time working in consumer goods.

I joined Bain as a consultant in the summer of 2018 as part of the industry hire program. I worked in the Boston office for about 3 years and transferred to Los Angeles as a senior manager.

How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

Given my entire career has been in consulting, I very strongly believe that this job is a team sport. Bain is set up for collaboration, mentorship, and has the infrastructure that allows me to thrive with my colleagues. We are all focused on delivering results for our clients but also to develop personally and professionally.

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

Our clients only hire us when they have a problem they cannot solve alone. I am excited to partner with large companies to work through their toughest strategic priorities and make a significant impact on their long-term success. I have worked a lot within our consumer goods practice but at the same time been a generalist for my entire career. I am particularly excited by how consumers make decisions and that has been a core component of my work across industries.

“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”

One of my favorite parts about Bain that truly differentiates us is our unique staffing and program managers across every office. Throughout my career in Boston, the staffing team made such a significant and positive impact on me that I decided to do a short term rotation as a team lead in our Los Angeles office. In addition, I have taken advantage of our "take 2" offering where I was able to take 2 months off to travel the world with my wife.
