Maria Liby-Troein is a member of our EMEA Private Equity and Sustainability practices.
Maria is focused on helping investors navigate and invest behind the climate transition and to incorporate ESG considerations across the investment value chain. Her experience includes fund strategy, sector scans, commercial and ESG due diligence and work with portfolio companies to decarbonize and to reach full potential.
In addition to her work with private equity clients, Maria leads the Bain Nordics Sustainability Academy, an executive education program designed for Bain in collaboration with the Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education.
Before joining Bain, Maria worked for a New York-based strategy consulting firm, as well as a consulting and market research firm focused on the wine industry. Her career has spanned the US, UK, China and Sweden.
Maria has an MBA with a Certificate in Sustainability from MIT Sloan and an AB from Harvard.
