Melissa Burke

Melissa Burke is the Global Solution Leader for Results Delivery®, Bain’s toolkit for managing transformational change.

With more than 20 years of experience, she has served clients across consumer products, restaurants, private equity, technology, financial services, manufacturing, and utilities. Her primary focus is on change management and implementation, transformation, culture and behavior change, capability building, and leadership effectiveness & alignment.

Her most recent projects have included supporting a holistic transformation program for a global manufacturing conglomerate, aligning leaders and franchisees for one of the world’s largest restaurant chains, and building capabilities on the topics of managing major transformational change with PE portfolio companies and multi-national consumer products corporations.  

Melissa Burke is a leader in our Strategy and Transformation practices, where she supports overall practice operations and intellectual property development. She also helps nurture our growing Chief Transformation Officer community and forums. She has worked in our Atlanta, New York and San Francisco offices.

Melissa earned an MBA from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, where she was a Palmer Scholar. She also holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering, with highest distinction, from the University of Virginia.

The proud mom of four boys, Melissa enjoys hiking, particularly if it involves a state or national park; supporting UVA basketball; and occasionally finding a quiet moment to read.
