Piet
Piet de Paepe is the Global Practice Lead for Bain’s Chemicals practice.
He has over 20 years of experience leading strategy, innovation, and growth projects across the chemicals and heavy process industries. Piet has supported more than 500 client engagements, helping develop and scale major accounts across Europe and globally.
He regularly authors perspectives on key trends shaping the chemicals sector and is recognized for his contributions to industry thinking. Before joining our firm, Piet held senior operational and executive roles in several industrial companies, including FINA/TOTAL, where he was an assistant plant manager and later a supply chain optimization manager, and Punch International, where he served as general manager of multiple businesses. He also worked as a divisional manager at Domo NV.
Piet holds an MBA from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and a Master of Science in electromechanical engineering from the University of Ghent.
