About Shivani

I joined the Bain Capability Centre as an analyst in 2008. I specialize in emerging market topics and lead the Africa regional teams at the BCN. I helped set up the consumer products team at the BCN, focused on consumer and brand analytics along with go-to-market strategy work for key clients. I also lead the training function responsible for hard and soft skill development of all BCN employees.

During my time at the BCN, I've worked on a variety of industries, including mining, public sector, telecom, financial services and consumer products. I have transferred to the Munich and Houston offices to work closely with case teams on due diligences. I've also traveled globally for a number of Bain trainings and leadership meetings, interacting with leadership and colleagues from around the world.

"With an inclusive environment, the BCN offers incredible opportunities for growth and networking. It nurtures employees to thrive in challenging situations (infused with fun and travel), to keep them motivated as they strive for excellence. It embodies a sense of innovation, integrity and diversity catalyzing an enriched future for its people."

Recently, I led some pro bono work with IIM Ahmedabad’s Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) and copublished a report on the topic, Farming as a Service in India.

I have a degree in commerce (Hons) from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University.

In my free time, I'm a big foodie! I love watching competitive cooking game shows—not to get inspiration to cook, but to go out and try new dishes at restaurants.
