BCN plays a critical role in supporting Bain's case teams globally to help with analytics and research across all industries, for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
This full-time role is based in our Mexico office and is part of the Performance Improvement Centre of Expertise (PI CoE). The PI CoE supports case teams across geographies in cost reduction and optimization efforts.
Our solutions span:
- Cost diagnostics (Value Calculator, Opportunity Indicator, Net Working Capital)
- Cost savings and PMI analysis
- Procurement (Spend cube, analytics, maturity assessments)
- Zero-Based Budgeting (Cost visibility, budgeting, initiative tracking)
- Supply Chain optimization (Inventory diagnostics, network optimization, integrated business planning)
We utilize dynamic dashboards and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and contribute to the creation of Bain’s proprietary intellectual property.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Take ownership of complex performance improvement analyses and deliverables
- Analyze financial statements, cost and headcount data to identify savings opportunities
- Conduct benchmarking and data-driven assessments across cost functions
- Support case teams across Bain globally by providing actionable insights and industry-aligned recommendations
- Work with senior leaders to validate hypotheses and support decision-making
- Use internal tools and databases for analytics and research
- Present client-ready output with clear, implementable recommendations
- Communicate effectively with Bain case teams and clients
- Lead individual project modules and timelines
ABOUT YOU
- Undergraduate degree (engineering, business, commerce, economics) with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or an MBA/postgraduate with 0–3 years of relevant experience (consulting background preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, and AI tools is a plus
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate clearly, and present to senior stakeholders
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSOCIATE
As an Associate, you are responsible for completing deliverables assigned to you, while ensuring zero defects. You must actively participate in and contribute towards brainstorming of solutions, work planning and conducting thorough quality checks of work done by other team members, if needed. You must keep the project leader/ Manager updated on the case progress while at the same time highlighting roadblocks. You could also be responsible for communicating insights and present answers derived from analysis to case and/or practice teams
