Who You Will Work With
This role is part of Bain’s Financial Services (FS) Centre of Expertise (CoE), based out of the Gurugram office. The FS CoE actively supports Partners/Global Case teams across Proposals, Client Development efforts, and Client Cases.
Additionally, the team also supports the Global FS Practice in building Bain's FS Data Assets / IP / Thought Leadership / POVs / Tools, etc.
The group comprises 100+ team members across Banking, Insurance, and other Financial Services sectors.
About You
- 9–13 years of experience post Master’s in consulting, research, or analytics
- Prior experience or familiarity with the financial services industry is mandatory. Incumbents should come from similar consulting firms or from corporate strategy division of major banks/insurers, etc.
- Front-end core consulting experience preferred
- Graduate from a top-tier institute or Tier-1 university
- Strong preference for quantitative disciplines such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Business Analytics, or Market Research
- Knowledge of Banking, Insurance, Brokerage, Payments, NBFC, Fintech sectors
- Exceptional analytical, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience working with Indian FS clients and ability to handle ambiguity in diligence questions
What You’ll Do
A Senior Manager leads teams of Project Leaders, Associates, and Analysts, managing case delivery, client communication, work planning, and professional development. Senior Managers typically manage three or more projects simultaneously across geographies and industries and are responsible for final outputs and client-ready materials.
- Lead multiple case teams across banking and insurance sectors
- Understand client needs and adapt to case expectations
- Apply relevant analytical tools to workstreams and ensure zero-defect analysis
- Clearly communicate insights, implications, and actionable solutions
- Effectively manage client and internal team meetings and presentations
- Provide consistent coaching and developmental feedback to team members
- Contribute to BCN initiatives such as recruiting, training, and internal programs
