WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role strengthens Bain’s Global People Analytics (GPA) and Global Workforce Planning (WFP) teams by serving as a key analytics, reporting, and insights partner across strategic talent acquisition and workforce planning processes. Responsibilities include partnering closely with internal customers across a varied range of stakeholder groups (Global/Regional Talent Acquisition leadership, global/regional Talent/HR/Ops and Finance teams, local Recruiting teams, and others) to translate use cases and decision needs into reporting requirements, dashboards, and data products.

This position will play a critical role in delivering Bain's Talent Acquisition strategic priorities related to delivering standardized, flexible reporting and enabling stakeholder insights. The role will also support Workforce Planning initiatives focused on further developing our headcount planning and reporting capabilities and driving strategic capacity decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Support Talent Acquisition Visier product design & development (25%)

  • Support alignment on global/regional/local use cases and reporting strategy 
  • Work with stakeholder groups to define reporting use cases across existing product ecosystem
  • Partner with Visier product owner and technical teams to translate stakeholder needs into dashboard requirements, and support initial system product design
  • Develop training materials, user guides, comms and launch plans for new reports

Support Talent Acquisition stakeholder management & front-line user engagement (25%)

  • Drive alignment on recruiting processes, data definitions, and reporting methodology across regions and stakeholder groups
  • Independently collect reporting requirements from stakeholders and partner with product team to translate into plans for new or improved reports
  • Iterate with stakeholders (global, regional and local talent acquisition/recruiting teams) on planned reports to ensure alignment on final deliverables
  • Engage with TA and recruiting stakeholders on priorities and existing reporting processes/use cases/needs, and collaborate with product team on report design and prioritization
  • Work with stakeholder to validate data and new report accuracy, usability, and relevance
  • Proactively build collaborative relationships with TA customers to ensure continuous feedback on Visier product functionality and identify opportunities for enhancements

Support Workforce Planning data analytics and insight generation (40%)

  • Support workforce planning team on data analysis and insights generation across the key annual headcount cycles (e.g. tracking performance vs plan, plan development and pressure testing)
  • Help answer critical business questions and drive decision/actions by bringing the right data and insights
  • Develop 'data exploration' reports to answer emerging or one-off questions, see trends, etc
  • Develop 'summary' reports combining multiple metrics targeted to specific actions, etc
  • Support optimization of data pull and transformation processes to support insight generation (e.g. automate regular reporting processes, combine data across sources, compare across versions) 
  • Translate business questions into detailed reporting specifications and dashboard designs; identify opportunities to streamline processes
  • Support the development of new reports to track recruiting fill rates and ‘upcoming capacity’
  • Own key aspects of the work to design and implement a new reporting tool 
  • Work with the product owner of existing recruiting dashboards to design a new reporting process/views
  • Bring together and analyze data across sources to answer key business questions (e.g., combine data and bridge insights across local recruiting data, Finance targets, and WFP view performance vs plan)

Subject Matter Expertise & Continuous Improvements (10%)

  • Own end to end delivery of ad hoc request for datasets and analyses
  • Identify information sources and demonstrate effective and creative approaches to data gathering in order to complete value-added analyses
  • Work directly with data requestors to understand business need and requirements, and direct to already existing reports when applicable
  • Identify trends in ad hoc requests to inform future enhancements to standard reporting tools
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, increase automation, and reduce manual reporting effort
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning analytics, tools, and methodologies
  • Advise stakeholders on best practices for interpreting data, applying standard definitions, and ensuring alignment across geographies and stakeholder groups
  • Monitor and respond to trends in analytics requests to inform future product enhancements, roadmap priorities, and process improvements
  • Proactively identify new opportunities for insights, analytical approaches, or dashboard capabilities that improve Bain’s global data-driven decision-making

 

ABOUT YOU

This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 2 days per week. 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in data analytics, workforce analytics, business intelligence, HR analytics, or similar roles
  • Demonstrated experience working with people data and/or HR systems
  • Demonstrated experience driving data analysis and insights generation
  • Experience with Excel for data analysis and managementStrong analytic and critical thinking capabilities 
  • Demonstrated ability to use complex and interrelated data to generate insights 
  • Ability to synthesize analysis, recommend actions and prioritize next steps 
  • Demonstrated ability working with data analysis and business intelligence tools (such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and take initiative on multi-faceted projects/responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with the highest levels of professionalism 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficient in PowerPoint 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills

Preferred: 

  • Degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related fields
  • Experience with enterprise analytics platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Visier or other SQL-based systems)
  • Experience in professional services or a global matrixed organization
  • Experience supporting Talent Acquisition, recruiting analytics, or workforce planning
  • Knowledge of the Agile project methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to translate requirements from stakeholders into user stories

U.S. Compensation Information

Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package.

 Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:

  - In the Atlanta, GA, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $84,250 – 101,250. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level. 

- In the Boston, MA, and Washington D.C., the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $97,000 – 116,500. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level. 

- Annual discretionary performance bonus

 - This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation

 - 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date

For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level.
