The BCC is now known as BCN (Bain Capability Network) with its nodes across various geographies. BCN is an integral and largest unit of (ECD) Expert Client Delivery. ECD plays a critical role as it adds value to Bain's case teams globally by supporting them with analytics and research solutioning across all industries, specific domains for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property. The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.

Who you will work with

This position is based in BCN's Gurgaon office and is a vital part of the Performance Improvement Centre of Expertise (PI CoE). The PI CoE plays a crucial role in assisting case teams in India and abroad with various cost reduction/optimization activities by offering a range of solutions, including Procurement (e.g., Spend cube, analytics, maturity assessment, vendor strategy), Zero-based budgeting (e.g., Cost visibility, Budgeting, Initiative tracking, client training), Supply Chain (e.g., Inventory Diagnostics, Inventory Optimization, Network Optimization, Manufacturing Diagnostics, Integrated Business Planning), as well as cost diagnostics (e.g., Value Calculator, Net Working Capital), savings, and PMI Analysis. The CoE conducts complex and advanced data analysis to analyze clients' data and generate critical insights to help achieve cost objectives. Over time, we have developed seamless solutions and employ powerful, dynamic visualizations/charts on various platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to showcase our results. The PI CoE is also involved in the creation of critical intellectual property (IP) that is valuable for new performance improvement cases globally at Bain.

About you

1. Graduate (8-11 years) / Post-Graduate (6-9 years) of experience in the field of supply chain consulting and analytics, with >50% of experience in a consulting firm
2. Strong domain knowledge on key supply chain areas like safety stock optimization, network optimization (including tools like Llamasoft SCG, Optilogic), demand planning, supply planning etc. is a requisite
3. Evidence of leading 2+ complex client engagements on supply chain areas is a must
4. Excellent analytical skills, communication skills (ability to deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders), team management and project management skills
5. Demonstrated ability to work with MS Excel and PowerPoint
6. Knowledge of visualization and tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI (Python is a plus)
7. Ability to deal with ambiguity, handle multiple tasks and dynamic case expectations
8. Good in talent management, ensuring positive team environment and ability to upskill team skillset

What you’ll do 

Manager usually leads two teams of 3-4 team members each (Project Leaders, Associates and Analysts). Manager is required to show strong domain expertise and guide the team on problem solving, work-planning, analytics, research, and overall content to produce client ready materials and generate business insights and implications. You will also be required to help Bain partners in developing intellectual property (IP), pitch documents and publications. The position reports into a Director/Sr. Manager.

1. Lead the team comprising of Project Leaders/Associates/Analysts working for live case delivery (along with Bain case team) 
   1. Demonstrate evidence of being a SME (Subject matter Expert) in supply chain and broader operations topics, such as inventory, network, demand planning, supply planning etc., backed by robust experience in the field of Supply Chain analytics
   2. Is proficient at identifying and deploying relevant resources and analytical tools while ensuring timely, high quality, error-free analysis and output produced by the team
   3. Understand client needs and situations and adapt to project expectations. Show ability to resolve complex issues across work streams 
   4. Drive conversations through analytics to help drive insights through data analysis and story-lining the deliverable to prove/disprove hypotheses in the best interest of the client/project.
2. Help drive innovationthrough automation and IP by brainstorming with Bain expert partners, practice leaders and case teams  
   1. Drive solution development through effective story boarding, hypothesis setting and insights generation
   2. Manage client and team meetings and deliver clear and professional presentations to the senior project team members, practice stakeholders across Bain teams and clients 
3. Help coach/mentor and build next level of leadersin the CoE; recognizes team’s professional development needs and provide feedback and solutions toward constant improvement
   1. Ensure a consistent and positive team experience by managing expectations between project teams/clients and BCN teams
4. Participate in CoE resource planning, recruitment, and overall development 
5. Consistently provide responsible feedback, coaching and mentoring to analysts and associates working with them to address their professional development needs. Also conduct performance discussions, writing reviews for appraisal (as required)
