WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
BCN provides specialized support to global teams across sectors, including Healthcare & Life Sciences, enabling clients to make strategic business and investment decisions. BCN provides an opportunity to solve challenging business problems in a dynamic set-up working closely with global Bain teams, acting as a thought-partner with daily deliverables.
The role will support work within Bain’s Healthcare & Life Sciences sector, which serves leading companies across domains such as Pharmaceuticals, MedTech, Providers, Payers and Digital Health. The team collaborates with practice/case teams on the development and deployment of analytical products and topic expertise to answer strategic questions. Prior work experience in Healthcare & Life Sciences is not required, but interest in the sector is important. Our teams work in a fast-paced environment delivering consistent and impactful results at scale.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As an Associate, you will be an active member for the team from Day 1 on BCN cases, driving the analysis on complex cases with some direction from a Project Leader and occasionally leading simple cases independently. In addition, associates help mentor and coach analysts by providing feedback. The expectation is to eventually provide significant direction and support to resolve complex issues and effectively manage client and team meetings. As an Associate, the individual would support Healthcare & Life Sciences sector projects across geographies.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter, results-oriented, and has a strong analytical background with technical skills. Hands-on consulting delivery experience or exposure to data analytics as part of delivering strategy engagements will be a plus. The role would require the candidate to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take project/workstream ownership and manage complex case deliverables with minimal support, perform data and reality checks
- Develop strong understanding of project context, analytical concepts and relevant Healthcare & Life Sciences topics, and quickly come up to speed on new/different businesses across geographies
- Ability to generate hypothesis to answer complex business questions using sound business logic
- Identify and use relevant analytical tools, technical skills and internal repositories to extract information (proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is must)
- Deliver client ready documents containing implementable solutions
- Effectively communicate with BCN in internal meetings and end clients (Bain case teams from any global office)
- Lead individual project work streams with the help of 1-2 directly aligned team members (analysts)
- Comfort to handle pressure and deadlines
- Willing to groom a team of analysts and support them as and when required
ABOUT YOU
- Willing and able to work in a hybrid set-up, with 4 days per week on-site (Bain office in Polanco)
- Bachelor’s degree with 2–6 years of consulting, business analysis, data analytics, research or related professional experience, or Master’s degree/MBA with up to 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in written and spoken English at C1–C2 level, with strong stakeholder communication skills
- Candidate should be a team player and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Should possess strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and analytical/technical skills
- Strong academic credentials, analytical ability and comfort working with data
- Interest in Healthcare & Life Sciences; prior work experience in the sector is not required
- Experience in databases such as Thomson Reuters, CapitalIQ, Factiva and D&B preferred
- Familiarity and knowledge of Tableau, Alteryx and web-scraping is an added advantage
- Effective coaching and mentoring skills
