You'll work within Bain's Strategy & Transformation Practice, one of the largest practices at Bain that sits at the center of many of our biggest client success stories. We continuously push the boundaries of innovation through new perspectives, products, tools, and delivery models that combine the best thinking from our senior strategists and client leaders. Our goal is to help clients redefine their full potential, embed lasting change, and deliver enduring results.
As a Senior Manager, Strategy Solution Innovation, you'll join the Business & Corporate Strategy solution team, working alongside Global Solution Leaders, the Global Solution & IP Vice President, a Practice Director, a Solution Technical Product Manager, Practice Managers, Consultants, BCN professionals, and Knowledge Management experts. Together, this team develops and scales Bain's proprietary intellectual property, AI-enabled tools, and commercial solutions that help our case teams solve clients' most complex strategic challenges.
WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
You'll play a critical role in advancing Bain's Strategy & Transformation Practice by driving the modernization of our strategy solutions through technology and AI. Working closely with solution leadership and innovation teams across Bain, you'll help transform our intellectual property into practical, high-impact tools that enhance the way our consultants deliver value to clients.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Drive Strategy Solution Innovation
- Develop and continuously evolve the vision, priorities, and roadmap for strategy solution innovation.
- Partner closely with Global Solution Leaders, the Global Solution & IP Vice President, the Solution Technical Product Manager, and other stakeholders to shape long-term product strategy.
- Advise solution leadership on AI-enabled product direction, prioritization, build-versus-buy decisions, and commercialization strategies informed by frontline feedback.
- Coordinate collaboration across innovation teams including Core Innovation, Vector, Umbrage, BCN/BCN Labs, Modernize Bain, and Strategy & Transformation leadership.
- Monitor competitor offerings and advancements in AI and technology to inform future product investments.
Incubate and Scale AI Solutions
- Discover, prototype, and scale high-value AI tools within the Full Potential Co-Pilot suite.
- Identify opportunities for AI-enabled capabilities in partnership with solution and practice leadership.
- Translate Bain intellectual property into prototypes using no-code or low-code platforms such as Claude Skills.
- Continuously improve prompts, workflows, guardrails, and data integrations based on user feedback and evaluation.
- Identify and scale successful innovations developed by Strategy case teams across the firm.
Support Client Teams and Tool Deployment
- Partner with practice teams to embed AI-enabled tools into client engagements.
- Support high-priority strategy proposals with innovative AI capabilities.
- Work directly with case teams to integrate tools into live client work.
- Identify innovations that should be adopted more broadly.
- Track adoption, outcomes, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Drive Adoption and Capability Building
- Increase firmwide awareness and adoption of Strategy innovation tools.
- Integrate new capabilities into Bain's strategy methodologies and intellectual property.
- Deliver hands-on training sessions for consulting teams and practice staff.
- Develop demonstrations, training materials, presentations, and marketing content.
- Maintain dashboards highlighting adoption metrics and success stories.
ABOUT YOU
- Current Bain General Consulting professional at the Senior Manager level.
- Strong performance history with a "Strong Impact/Contribution" rating and an upward trajectory or higher.
- Passion for innovation and comfort working in rapid experimentation environments.
- Experience building basic AI tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to develop pragmatic business insights through complex analysis in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working across diverse teams and levels.
- Proven track record of mentoring, motivating, and developing junior team members.
- Advanced presentation development skills.
U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service, and Bain's best-in-class benefits package.
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- For all U.S. states, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $163,500-219,000. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
- Annual discretionary performance bonus.
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation.
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after three years of service and is 100% vested upon start date.
