What is the application timeline?
Applications are currently closed and will re-open in September 2024.
Which position should I apply for?
If you are currently studying or if you have less than two years of experience in industry since graduation, you would be considered for the Associate Consultant role via our University hiring stream.
If you have more than two years of industry experience, please visit the Working Professionals webpage or email Experiencedhiring.London@Bain.com, who will be able to provide information about the experienced professional recruiting process at Bain London.
Do I need to submit a cover letter?
You will not need to submit a cover letter if applying for the Associate Consultant role in the London office. Please note that a cover letter may be required for some Bain offices. We recommend checking with each of your office preferences for their specific application requirements.
What should I do if my high school grades aren't from the UK?
Not a problem, please make sure you include as much detail as possible in your application. We will use our global office network to ensure we have a full picture of international grades in order to assess your application.

Does Bain London run an internship/electives?
Unfortunately, our London office does not offer internships/electives. The full list of Bain offices that offer internships can be found here. Please note that fluency in the national language is required in some offices. We suggest that you contact these offices directly if you are interested in following an internship or work experience – please find their details here.
How should I prepare for the online assessment?
The assessment will cover questions on your behavioural preferences, numerical, verbal and logical reasoning. People at Bain have a diverse range of personality traits and thinking styles, and we are not looking for one single type of person. We would recommend visiting the Candidate Preparation Hub if you would like to explore any of these parts further.
Please ensure that all sections of the online assessment are completed by midday, 24th October (BST).
When are the interviews?
Interviews consist of two rounds, first rounds will be held in mid-November and second rounds will be held in late November/early December. Interviews during both rounds consist of case interviews, so please consider beginning to practice early – helpful information and a video recorded interview can be found here.
Interviews will be held in our London office and/or virtually via Zoom. You’ll find out more about this nearer the time.
When are your start dates?
We have Associate Consultant start dates four times per year, typically January, April, July and September. You’ll have a chance to learn more about this during the interview process.
Are Bain & Company holding any events at my university this year?
We hold a number of events on campus and virtually every year – you can find out about all the events we’re hosting here.
