Eli Weinberg

Eli Weinberg is a leader in our firm's Healthcare and Life Sciences and Private Equity practices.

He is an advisor and thought partner to life science innovators in biopharma, diagnostics, and medtech, as well as investors active in those areas. He is keenly interested in commercialization, value creation, new product modalities, applications of digital and analytics, and design.

Eli has more than two decades of experience in the life sciences, spanning academia, biotech, and consulting. Prior to joining Bain, he was a partner at another top consulting firm where he worked in the US, Europe, Japan, and China. He has experience in a broad set of disease areas, including oncology, mental illness, reproductive medicine / women's health, cardiovascular, and vaccines, and he maintains a fresh perspective on the latest technological advancements and the rapidly evolving landscape of the life sciences.

He received his BS, MS, and PhD from MIT and was a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley, all in bioengineering. His academic research has been extensively published, patented, and licensed. Eli stays actively involved in early-stage healthcare innovation as an investor and board member.
