In a recent Bain survey, healthcare payers said real-time analysis that optimizes care plans, networks and costs will be the most important digital application for their companies in the next five years. Second, they chose predictive analytics for its ability to map patients to providers and networks. Third in importance was big data, which will deliver greater transparency as well as more robust cost information and detailed insights.
