David Deming is a partner based in Bain & Company’s San Francisco office. He is an expert within the firm’s Customer Strategy & Marketing and Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) practices.
David has advised a host of multinational electronics and media companies throughout his tenure at Bain. His core areas of expertise include high tech, hardware, software, electronics, profitable growth and sales force effectiveness. He is also well versed in route-to-market optimization and back-end operating efficiency.
Additionally, David has worked with a range of private equity clients to assess target companies across a variety of industries, ranging from next-generation wireless semiconductors to specialty retail and distribution.
Prior to joining Bain in 2006, David worked as a product manager for Macromedia, now part of Adobe Systems, and as a technical sales engineer during the dot com boom.
He holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, as well as a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
