Dimitris Psarris

Dimitris is a Senior Partner and Managing Partner of Bain Greece. He is also a member of our global Financial Services and Private Equity practices, and a member of the firm’s European leadership team.

He started his consulting career in London in 2007 and since then has advised major banks, insurers, corporates, private equity firms, governments, regulators and supranational institutions in more than 15 countries across Europe, Middle East, the US and Sub-Saharan Africa, based out of London, Madrid, New York and Athens.

Dimitris has extensive experience working with Boards, CEOs, top management teams and financial sponsors on strategy and business development, value creation and transformation programs, new business launches, commercial effectiveness, cost reduction, risk management, advanced analytics, restructuring and distressed assets management.

For more than a decade, Dimitris has been a leading consultant in Greece & Cyprus. He has been at the forefront of Greece’s recovery from the crisis, having supported all systemic banks, investors, large corporates, as well as the European and local authorities on several high-profile restructuring, turnaround and distressed assets management initiatives. In more recent years, Dimitris has assisted some of the country’s top companies in redefining their strategy and in the design and successful implementation of large-scale performance improvement and transformation programs.

Prior to joining Bain, Dimitris worked for 15 years at another global consulting firm as a Partner and senior member of its global Financial Services practice and the EMEA FS leadership team. Within that role, Dimitris founded the firm’s Athens office, establishing it as one of the most successful and fastest growing businesses across EMEA.

Dimitris is a strong mental health advocate, coach and certified mental health first aider, trying to battle the stigma around anxiety, stress and depression issues at work. He is known in the industry for creating team working environments that are diverse, inclusive, caring and fun.
