As Bain & Company findings point out, "digital now trumps physical channels in many countries around the world." This reality is hitting the banking industry hard, as they struggle to find ways to make customer service work in a digitized world. As person-to-person contact is phased out, the banking industry has been challenged to find ways to treat customers as more than just "one of the crowd."
