Andrew Cousins is Bain’s Chief Security Architect and a senior member of our Enterprise Technology practice, with deep expertise in cyber transformation, identity and access management (IAM), and securing mission-critical environments.
He advises CEOs and CISOs on translating technical risk into business-enabling strategies, with a focus on cloud-native security, Zero Trust architectures, and the convergence of information technology and operational technology. His work centers on building enterprise resilience through strong security governance, navigating complex regulatory frameworks such as NIS2 and GDPR, and leading high-stakes incident response and executive tabletop exercises.
Prior to joining Bain, Andrew was the Head of Cyber Security Architecture at International Airlines Group, where he led a multi-year security transformation program. He also held senior technical leadership roles within the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre, where he served as a principal architect for telecommunications legislation and supported critical infrastructure response efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
