Share your journey to Bain.
I was a Marketing major with an Entrepreneurship minor at Miami of Ohio. While I initially explored traditional marketing roles, I realized I wanted a career that would allow me to work across multiple industries before settling into one. I joined a business fraternity on campus and was introduced to consulting by older members who shared their experiences and encouraged me to learn more about the field. Consulting quickly stood out because of the breadth of exposure and the opportunity to build a diverse skill set early on. To explore it further, I joined the consulting group within the fraternity, where I practiced casing and gained a better understanding of what working on a consulting deal would actually look like.
What drew me to Bain specifically was the range of work, from diligences in the Private Equity Group to helping set strategy for an international retailer, as well as the strong generalist foundation it provides. Just as important, the culture felt like a natural fit, it was collaborative and social in a way that reminded me of the campus organizations I loved being part of. I am excited to see even more Miami students follow a similar path and build their own journeys at Bain! #LoveAndHonor
How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
I knew Bain was the right place for me the second I met the people. Recruiting can make it hard to tell which firm is truly the best fit, but with Bain, I never had a doubt. The culture is genuinely one of a kind. From the start, I felt how much leadership invests in mentoring and developing you professionally, taking real time to help shape your career. At the same time, Bain creates space for fun and connection (e.g., AC1 kickball), which quickly turned colleagues into close friends.

Some of my favorite work at Bain has been in our Private Equity Group. As an Associate Consultant Intern (ACI), I worked on a diligence for a lawn mower company, and when I returned full-time, I had the chance to diligence a bagged soil company. Now I’m just one grass seed diligence away from completing the entire lawn care trifecta!
