I joined Bain as an ACI in 2012 without even knowing much about what consulting was. I quickly fell in love with the problem solving, the wide variety of work, and the people at Bain. I find the work to be such an awesome mixture of continuous learning, interesting problems, and simply fun that I've stuck around Bain ever since!

My favorite work centers are people as the heart of organizations. I've helped clients reconnect with their personal purpose and the mission of their company. I've helped clients rethink their people value proposition and how they attract / retain talent. And most recently I've helped clients think about how they retain engagement and inspiration of their people, even as work becomes automated or augmented by technology and AI - it is a really interesting time to be working in talent!
What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?
For anyone recruiting consulting, I would recommend two things. First, get to know the people in the firm you are recruiting - your daily work will center around your teammates and clients, so finding the people that you connect with and enjoy spending time with is so important! Second, practice your mental math. It's important not only to complete your case interviews, but to be able to have conversations with your team and clients about data and quantitative insights.
