Share your journey to Bain.
Before joining Bain, I worked at a fast-paced fintech during a period of rapid growth. It was an exciting and formative chapter, but over time, I realized I wanted to broaden my toolkit and gain exposure to a wider range of industries and challenges. I’ve always been deeply curious, and that curiosity naturally drew me to consulting.
What really stood out to me about Bain was the people. I kept meeting Bainies at conferences and events, and I was consistently struck by their intelligence, warmth, humility, and sense of purpose. A women’s event hosted by Bain gave me an even closer look at the culture and values. That experience was a turning point. It made me feel like this was a place where I could grow, contribute, and truly belong.
How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
There were a few moments that made it clear, but the standout was the Women in Business event. It was the first networking event I’d attended where I walked away genuinely feeling like I was already part of the company. There was an immediate sense of belonging, not just socially, but professionally. I felt confident that Bain was a place where I could thrive and make a meaningful impact.
The diversity of the team and the calibre of the people were a huge part of that decision. Every conversation left me energized by their thoughtfulness, authenticity, and drive. I knew Bain would challenge me in all the right ways and help shape me into a better version of myself. That combination left no doubt in my mind.
Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?
Absolutely. At Bain, we’re constantly tackling complex, high-impact challenges across industries. I’ve seen the impact first-hand, especially through work on transformation and strategy cases.
What excites me most is seeing clients open their minds alongside us. It’s incredibly rewarding to help them not only solve their toughest problems, but also feel inspired in the process. Bain is known for going beyond the brief, bringing together bold thinking, cross-industry insights, and cutting-edge tools like AI to create real results. That blend of creativity, collaboration, and tangible impact is what makes the work so fulfilling.
“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”
For me, “Building My Own Bain” has meant building my tribe and charting a path that reflects what energizes me most. I’ve had the chance to explore different industries, capabilities, and types of work, and I’ve felt genuinely supported along the way. Bain gives you the tools, people, and flexibility to shape your own career.
It’s also the most inclusive and supportive environment I’ve ever worked in. You’re encouraged to show up as your authentic self while being part of a team that shares your values and ambition. That balance, being seen as an individual while belonging to a collective, is what makes growth here feel so personal and meaningful.
Share some of your favorite work (personal or professional) you’ve done while at Bain.
Some of my favourite moments have come from life outside the day-to-day work. I helped launch our Tuesday run club, joined the football team, and became part of the fun committee. These were all amazing ways to connect with Bainies across the office. I’ve also made some of my closest friends here. You become part of something special really quickly, and that sense of community has meant a lot.
Professionally, one of the most rewarding projects was a payments case where I got to draw on my fintech background. It was a hands-on, high-energy engagement with inspiring client moments and plenty of opportunities to grow. It struck the perfect balance of bringing experience to the table while continuing to stretch myself.
