How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
I knew Bain was the right company for me from the moment I interacted with numerous wonderful people during the BEL program. Everyone was eager to share their personal experiences and career paths at Bain and offered valuable support for my upcoming interview. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and the genuine smiles confirmed that Bain was the right place for me.
Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?
You can do impactful work at Bain in countless ways. For instance, you constantly help clients improve their businesses, and over time, you can see the tangible impact of your efforts. Additionally, Bain's commitment to impact extends beyond case work. I am involved with Education@Bain, where I tutor 3rd and 4th graders, enhancing their reading comprehension and fluency through weekly sessions, and mentor high school students to support their college readiness. Moreover, I have participated as a team member and case team lead for Inspire (pro bono consulting), where Associate Consultants dedicate extra hours to helping non-profits with their businesses. These opportunities to make a difference excite me and reinforce the meaningful work we do at Bain.
“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”
I have been able to "Build My Own Bain" by engaging in various extracurricular activities, or as we like to call them, Extra 10s. For example, I am a current board member of Familia at Bain, the affinity group for Hispanic/Latinx Bainies. We organize monthly lunches and other fun events to foster community within Bain Boston's Familia. Additionally, I have immersed myself in Harvard Recruiting, specifically on the marketing team, which helps me stay connected to the Harvard community. I also enjoy participating in soccer matches organized by the Bain Soccer team, providing a great way to bond with colleagues who share an interest in the sport. Finally, I have found a supportive community with the Bain Boston Pan-Mass Challenge team. We are actively raising thousands of dollars for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute by participating in an 189-mile cycling event across Massachusetts, which will take place this August.
