Share your journey to Bain.
My journey to Bain began long before consulting – on the soccer field. Competing at a high level taught me the value of being part of a team that pushes together, moves fast, and aims to win with purpose.
At McGill, I carried those same principles into extracurricular, leading teams that thrived on shared ambition and camaraderie. That mix of pace, teamwork, and fun became a constant theme across every chapter – from sports to university to Bain.
Joining Bain felt like a natural next step: another chance to play on a high-performing team that shares the same drive to achieve, learn, and enjoy the journey together!
How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
From my first interactions with Bain, I sensed a culture where teamwork is more than a value – it’s how things get done (yes, this sounds cheesy but let me explain).
What resonated most was Bain’s belief that collaboration drives performance and success is collective, not individual. I was drawn to an environment where people celebrate one another’s wins, where growth comes from learning side by side, and where genuine connections extend beyond case work.
Bain’s mix of high performance and deep community made it clear this was a place where I could both grow and belong!
What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?
There’s no one-size-fits-all path into consulting. At Bain, we’re not looking for a specific profile or trying to recruit the same person over and over: what matters most is understanding your story.
A strong application tells a cohesive narrative that helps us see why Bain is the right next step for you and how it aligns with your ambitions. To do that, take time to reflect before applying: think about the common themes that run through your experiences, what you value in a team or workplace, and how those values resonate with Bain’s culture of collaboration, growth, and shared success.
When you can clearly connect those dots between who you are, what drives you, and how Bain fits into that journey, your story naturally stands out.
