What did you do before Bain and why did you decide to join the firm?
I have been a support professional for many years in various industries. A previous employer had actually worked with Bain on a project; I was impressed with the team and enjoyed working with everyone on the case. Later, when I learned of an opportunity to work for Bain in Seattle, I applied immediately. The concept of “a Bainie never lets another Bainie fail” really appealed to me, and I wanted to join an organization that made supporting one another a core value. I was also excited to help open a Bain office in my hometown.
How have you established your own personal community at Bain and what does that community mean to you?
My fellow Bainies have welcomed and encouraged me from my first day, and that has given me the confidence to trust in my abilities and grow in my role. My Bain community is where I go when I need support or have a problem to work through, and I absolutely rely on them.
Describe a case that was particularly impactful for you, and tell us how you felt about it.
I have learned something from every case I have been involved with, so each one has been impactful in its own way. I always look forward to new cases and welcome the opportunities each brings. Perhaps the most impactful case was the one I worked on as a Bain client, which eventually led me to becoming a Bainie myself!
Given your experience, what makes Bain's work unique?
Bain’s work in the world is unique, in that, it does not restrict itself to being only concerned with casework and productivity. The effect our work and people have on the greater community are taken into consideration, along with striving to achieve the best possible results for our clients.
