About Rohun

How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

I had the opportunity to chat with many people in the LA office before joining Bain. What stood out to me more than anywhere else was the level of kindness, candor, and passion people brought to each conversation. They genuinely wanted to see me succeed and were willing to use their limited time to chat with me / help me learn the ins and outs of the case interview process. That sense of support and authenticity made it clear Bain was the right place for me.

“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”

I’ve been able to engage with Bain on many different levels, from my casework in PEG focused on Aerospace and Industrials to helping lead a non-profit consulting project through Inspire. I’ve also found a strong sense of community through my team, AC start class, pickleball group, recruiting team, and Asians at Bain.

Each of these experiences has enriched my time here and allowed me to immerse myself in Bain's culture, much like I did during my college experience.

What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?

In addition to preparing diligently for the case interview, it’s important to get to know the people in the office you’re targeting to see if it’s a good cultural fit. Consulting is as much about the people you work with as it is about the work itself. By speaking with consultants at different levels, you’ll gain a better understanding of what makes the office and firm unique. You can then bring these insights into your interviews and use them to assess whether a particular role is right for you.
