I studied mechanical engineering in college, but realized after my first internship that I didn't want to pursue the field full-time. At the same time, I was exposed to consulting through a club I was a part of and was learning about the opportunities within it. Eventually the two path intersected and I realized that consulting was an option that aligned with what I was looking for. I then connected with Bain and learned about the home office model and people-oriented culture, realized it was a great fit, and recruited during the full-time cycle at the start of my senior year.
How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
As I was recruiting for Bain and other firms and industries, something that stuck out to me about everyone at Bain was the investment they were willing to make in you - even before you had joined the firm. Several people made the time to talk to me, and answer my questions, regardless of how busy they may have been. That same feeling has persisted as a full-time employee - whether it's personal or professional goals, every Bainie is always ready to support you, and more than willing to share their time and experiences.

I was previously on a global strategy case within agriculture. We were asked to answer a very broad question; "Where should we launch our product, and when?" over a 25 year timeframe and a global scope. I got to see how our team took the question and broke it into smaller addressable questions, answered those, and put them back together into the overall answer. I loved learning how our clients think about their biggest questions - and how Bain helps to answer them.
