Share your journey to Bain.
Originally, I thought I wanted to become an engineer. In school, I loved solving hard problems, but many of my experiences did not have strong elements of team-based work. Luckily, one of my best friends from high school was just starting his ACI summer at Bain as I began to explore new job options. Even based on his first few days of the job, I grew excited by the idea of high impact, fast-paced, team centered work. The next thing I knew I was applying to become an AC!
How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
Before my very first round interviews, I was understandably nervous. After my first round interviews, I was shockingly excited. Even in a limited time, the Bainies who I met imparted a profound curiosity for the world and passion for helping others that was infectious. More important, they just seemed fun. I saw across a screen people who I wanted to immediately go talk with again.
“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”
Building my own Bain has meant pushing the idea of what exploration looks like. I have spent the most amount of time in pursuing healthcare, but also tried enterprise technology, consumer technology, industrials, retail, defense, and more. For two years I split time between growth strategy work and our private equity practice, but recently explored enterprise transformation. And most fun, I love exploring Bain global footprint. I spent six months on transfer in our Munich office as an AC, and overall have visited 12 offices.
