François Montaville is a partner based in Bain’s Paris office. He leads the firm’s Performance Improvement practice in Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA) and is a member of the Industrial Goods & Services, Transportation & Logistics, Customer Strategy & Marketing and Telecommunications, Media and Technology practices.
François works with senior executives and project teams to transform business performance with more than 15 years of management consulting experience. His Performance Improvement and operations experience includes deep expertise in purchasing, manufacturing and supply chain, service operations, research and development, sustained cost transformation, cost reduction, cost management and G&A optimization. He has applied these capabilities across various industries, with a particular focus on the industrial sector, working with both large corporate clients and smaller private equity-owned companies.
In addition to Performance Improvement, François also supports clients on a broad spectrum of other management topics, including strategy, organization and large-scale transformations. He has deep expertise in topline enhancement—specifically analyzing sales force effectiveness.
Prior to joining Bain in 2002, François worked for a global consultancy and also as a software developer. He graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris where he earned an MS and also received a diploma in computer science from Cambridge University.
