Ignacio Otero

Ignacio Otero serves as Managing Partner in Spain and Portugal and is a member of our Consumer Products, Retail and Agile Innovation practices.

He has over 15 years of experience with deep expertise in Bain's sustained cost transformation and complexity management, working across multiple industries and geographies with industrial and private equity clients. He advises clients on organic and inorganic growth strategies, cost and organizational transformation, and business simplification to reinvest in growth.

Ignacio has broad global experience across EMEA, APAC and the Americas and has led multiple client relationships for leading branded food players across the full value chain. He works with national and international private equity funds and advises companies on corporate and M&A operations.

Prior to joining our firm in 2010, he worked on digital and information technology strategy and transformation projects in both the private and public sectors.

Ignacio holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD Business School. He earned a degree in telecommunications engineering from the Polytechnic University of Barcelona (UPC) and also holds a master’s degree in management of information systems and technologies.
