James Furnival is a member of our Consumer Products and Strategy & Transformation practices.
James has supported many leading consumer packaged goods companies in North America and Europe, with a particular focus on food and beverage. His expertise centers around commercial strategy, brand growth, and organizational transformations. James also has a deep interest in insurgent brands, including how to set up brands for success post-acquisition.
Prior to joining Bain, James worked for another consultancy where he focused on strategy and due diligence. He received his MBA with distinction from INSEAD and studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford.
Outside of work, James has replaced his erstwhile hobbies (running, cycling, triathlons) with raising a young daughter. He is a passionate (and frequently dispirited) fan of Manchester United FC.
