Tony May is a partner in Bain & Company's Singapore office. He is an expert in Bain's Telecommunications practice.
Tony has more than 25 years of consulting and industry experience, and has been based in Asia since 1993.
Over the years, Tony has worked with a wide range of telcos helping them to improve their competitive positions and address industry change. He has worked with both incumbents and challengers in most sectors of the industry, including mobile, fixed, backbone, satellite and undersea cables, and covering consumer, enterprise and wholesale markets. More recently, Tony has been focused on helping telcos to respond to the ongoing digital disruption affecting the industry, including driving transformations of their core businesses, and exploring opportunities in new digital areas.
Prior to joining Bain, Tony spent five years as the Group Chief Strategy Officer of Singtel, responsible for group strategy, group corporate planning, M&A, and an in-house consulting team.
He holds an MA in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
