Utpal Shahane is a member of our Enterprise Technology and AI, Insights & Solutions practices, specializing in large-scale technology and AI transformations in financial services, with a focus on insurance.

With over 25 years of experience, he leads end-to-end modernization programs, including enterprise architecture redesign, core system replacement, cloud migration, AI enablement, and large-scale data integration. He has delivered multi-year transformations for global financial institutions, fintechs, and insurtechs, helping organizations simplify legacy landscapes, reduce structural IT costs, and build scalable, resilient technology platforms.

Utpal operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, aligning operating models, governance, and engineering capabilities. He actively shapes perspectives on pragmatic AI adoption and enterprise modernization, helping clients move from pilots to scaled, value-generating deployment. 

He holds a master’s degree in computer applications and a bachelor’s degree in commerce, with a specialization in statistical analysis, from the University of Pune, India.
