The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services, and Shared Services.
Who you will work with:
This position is based in BCN’s Gurgaon office and is an integral part of BCN’s Data & Insights Capabilities CoE (D&I - Capabilities CoE). The individual will work as a part of Corporate Support team that supports case teams, PI practice & experts on multiple G&A cost reduction/ optimization cases through a suite of solutions including functional benchmarking, functional maturity assessments, time studies, shared services opportunity assessment, etc.
CoE undertakes complex and advanced data analysis to process client data and generate critical insights to help identify areas of improvement. Over time, we have built seamless solutions and use powerful, dynamic visualizations/ charts on multiple platforms (PowerBI, Tableau) to showcase our results. Our CoE is also involved in generation of critical IP useful for new performance improvement cases globally at Bain.
What you'll do:
As an Associate in the team, you’ll be expected to play a senior team member role on G&A benchmarking / diagnostic cases, at times leading simple cases independently and at times driving the analysis on more complicated cases with direction from a Project Leader / Manager
- Own end-to-end delivery of low to mid complexity workstreams of benchmarking & diagnostic solutions on Corporate Support optimization cases. This includes the following:
- Work with case teams and clients to understand case requirements and leverage most appropriate tools/ solutions for identifying problem areas
- Leverage client data to build detailed functional baseline and use it to conduct benchmarking analysis to identify opportunity areas and size-of-prize
- Analyze responses received from qualitative surveys to identify current client state and emerging insights on opportunity areas
- Showcase domain expertise on Corporate Support functions and topics
- Provide rapid benchmarking support and guidance on critical benchmarks to use to case teams looking for a high-level assessment of corporate support functions
- Ensure timely, high quality and Zero-defect output and conduct reality checks on answers with little to no support from Project Leader/ Supervisor
- Support buildout of Bain’s proprietary benchmark database, applying sound logic and business judgement to validate received data points ensuring quality data is ingested
About you:
- Candidate should be a graduate/ post-graduate with strong academic records and relevant experience in consulting, research and analysis-related work
- Candidate should have prior experience in Finance and HR transformation/ optimization initiatives and good domain knowledge across other corporate support topics (like Shared Services)
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies –
- 2-5 years of relevant experience (>50% experience in consulting is preferred)
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies –
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (>50% experience in consulting is preferred)
- Excellent analytical skills, communication skills (ability to deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders), team management and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of analytics & visualization tools, such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI
