The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services, and Shared Services.


Who you will work with:

  • This position is based in BCN’s Gurgaon office and is an integral part of BCN’s Data & Insights Capabilities CoE (D&I - Capabilities CoE). The individual will work as a part of PI Benchmarking COE team that supports case teams, PI practice & experts on multiple G&A cost reduction/ optimization cases through a suite of solutions including functional benchmarking, functional maturity assessments, time studies, shared services opportunity assessment, etc.
  • CoE undertakes complex and advanced data analysis to process client data and generate critical insights to help identify areas of improvement. Over time, we have built seamless solutions and use powerful, dynamic visualizations/ charts on multiple platforms (PowerBI, Tableau) to showcase our results. Our CoE is also involved in generation of critical IP useful for new performance improvement cases globally at Bain.


What you'll do:

This is an opportunity to be a part of BCN D&I - Capabilities expanding product data analytics and automation area.

The person in this role will need to:

  • Have data and analytics experience in business intelligence and/or descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics, with a strong focus on automation and process optimization.
  • Demonstrate analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to analyze large amounts of data, automate insights generation, and synthesize key findings and recommendations.
  • Build and manage end-to-end data product platforms, incorporating automated data pipelines and optimized workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Exhibit strong analytical abilities — a keen eye for detail in analyzing complex datasets, identifying opportunities for automation, and optimizing analytical performance.
  • Build reusable and automated capabilities that can be used by team members or across service lines to enhance consistency and reduce manual effort.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across platforms and analytics workflows, implementing automation to monitor and maintain these standards.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and tools in data analytics and automation, recommending improvements to enhance platform capabilities and optimize performance.


About you:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in software development
  • Proficiency with Python and Advanced SQL queries, Stored procedures, query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.
  • Experience of data modeling, data warehousing principles is a plus
  • Experience in Cloud based data platforms such as AWS/Azure, Environment creation and management is a plus
  • Having experience in manage ETL/ELT processes to ingest and transform large datasets using cloud-native services (e.g., AWS S3, Lambda, Sage maker, EC2 and Airflow is a plus
  • A/B Testing & Experimentation: Design, execute, and evaluate experiments to inform product data improvements and validate hypotheses
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data projects
  • Should be a motivated and collaborative team player, who is a role-model and at-cause individual within the team and office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple competing priorities and drive projects to completion under tight deadlines
