Who you will work with

This role is based out of the Visualization Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the BCN. Visualization CoE works closely with global Bain case teams, Bain Partners and end-clients providing them data analytics and business intelligence support using advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Azure, AWS, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx etc.). The CoE is a one-stop shop for all case requests related to converting data into insightful visualizations tools (e.g., survey analytics, leadership KPI dashboards, etc). The role will focus on development, maintenance and evolution of the state-of-the art Gen AI applications.

What you’ll do 

  • Build GenAI/ML end-to-end solutions using Python and modern LLM/GenAI frameworks by translating business objectives into clear technical requirements.
  • Assist in building simple RAG-based applications by integrating LLMs with document retrieval tools to improve accuracy and grounding of AI responses. Help prepare and index datasets into vector stores (e.g., FAISS, Chroma) for use in RAG pipelines.
  • Support development of basic agentic or task-oriented AI workflows, where LLMs interact with tools or APIs to automate routine tasks.
  • Design and implement prototypes and POCs to validate feasibility and demonstrate solution value.
  • Assist in training, fine-tuning, and evaluating NLP/LLM models for tasks such as classification, summarization, retrieval, and conversational use cases.
  • Research and experiment with innovative GenAI/LLM techniques to help solve real-world business problems.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development, containerize models, and support deployment to cloud or on-prem environments. Assist with monitoring, testing, and maintenance of deployed models.
  • Support documentation of technical designs, approaches, POCs, and development artifacts.
  • Participate in testing, user enablement, and production rollout activities to ensure smooth adoption and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand data needs, integration requirements, and implementation constraints.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge creation, including SOPs, reusable components, and best practices for GenAI and ML engineering.
  • Stay current on evolving AI/ML techniques, especially LLM capabilities, prompting methods, and GenAI engineering patterns.

About you

  • A degree in Computer Science Engineering, or related fields. 
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML technologies and software engineering (with Python). 
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI concepts, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, Model Context Protocol (MCP), embeddings, and vector databases 
  • Hands-on project experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Hugging Face, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks 
  • Proven ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple competing priorities, and deliver results under tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders
  • Good to have:
    • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker, containerization) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure), MLOps, CI/CD pipeline development, containerization, model deployment in test and production environments
