Michael Tonelli

Michael Tonelli is a member of our Advanced Manufacturing & Services (AMS) and Performance Improvement practices. He specializes in supporting large strategic and cost transformations, the CFO agenda, Zero-Based Redesign (ZBR) efforts, finance optimization, finance shared services, and G&A optimization. 

Michael has primarily focused on large AMS companies, particularly in the Paper & Packaging sector where he is a Co-Lead for the Americas, but he has worked across numerous industries and company sizes during his time at Bain.    

Prior to joining us in 2011, Michael held positions at Merrill Lynch and Commerce Capital Markets.

He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics, International Relations, and Spanish, magna cum laude, from Tufts University.
