Numan Waheed is a partner in Bain & Company's Atlanta office. He is an expert in Bain's TelecommunicationsMedia and Technology (TMT) practices, as well as the Enterprise TechnologyMergers & Acquisitions and Strategy practices. He also leads Bain's Americas investor relationship management effort.

Numan advises clients across a variety of industries, including technology, retail, consumer goods, advanced manufacturing, fintech and payments. His engagements have addressed issues including general strategy, IT strategy and optimization, open source strategy and performance improvement, as well as many topics related to data and analytics strategy and operating model.

Numan is currently the product lead for North America’s Bain Investor Management work.

Prior to joining Bain in 2007, Numan was a research associate focused on computational simulation at the Goodyear Institute of Polymer Science. He also previously worked in product and process development at Procter & Gamble.

Numan graduated with a BS in chemical engineering, with honors, from Cornell University. He completed his PhD in chemical engineering, with a focus on computational modeling, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While there, he minored in finance at the Sloan School of Management.
