Asia-Pacific Healthcare Providers Suffer Eroding Profits

Many hospital groups and healthcare providers in the Asia-Pacific region delivered negative total shareholder returns from 2016 to 2018. A few leaders bucked that trend by launching zero-based redesign (ZBR) programs, which start with a blank sheet to completely rethink processes and workflows. Healthcare providers that use ZBR to realign their organizations can increase their EBITDA growth by 15–20 percentage points.
