I started my recruiting career in 2017 in the New York office of The Bridgespan Group, a nonprofit consulting firm. TBG was founded by former Bain partners and utilizes some of Bain's resources, including technical support and infrastructure. I had the opportunity to meet many Bainies during my time there and was immediately struck by how positive and helpful the interactions always were. When I moved to Chicago in 2021 and saw an opening on Bain's AC recruiting team, I jumped at the opportunity to join! It's been an incredible experience so far and extremely rewarding on both a personal and professional level.

What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?

One of the biggest things for an ACI or AC recruit to keep in mind is coachability. You don’t need to have all the answers, especially at Bain where consultants start as generalists, but you do need to show that you can take feedback, apply it quickly, and stay positive. If you demonstrate you're excited to learn and focused on improving, it can really set you apart!

What should candidates know?

All candidates should know how to do a case interview! They're an integral part of our AC/ACI process. Bain's website has a ton of resources, including videos of mock interviews and practice cases. I would also encourage recruits to check with consulting clubs on campus, as they will usually have their own resources to share.
