About Kasey

How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

I was looking for a great work environment—somewhere with smart, driven people who also value collaboration and authenticity—and I found that at Bain. From the very beginning, I was struck by how genuine and supportive everyone was. The culture isn’t just something people talk about; it’s something you actually experience.

What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?

My biggest piece of advice is to focus on quality over quantity. It’s easy to feel like you need to do everything—apply to tons of firms, join every club, attend every recruiting event, but being intentional really makes a difference. Invest your energy in the clubs, events, and jobs that genuinely interest you—those are the experiences where you’ll learn the most and have the most to talk about during recruiting.

What should candidates know?

Candidates should know that fit matters just as much as qualifications. Consulting firms look for strong communicators, team players, and people who are genuinely curious. Take time to understand each firm, and focus on telling your story in a clear, authentic way.
