How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
I knew Bain was the right company for me because of the people. From day one, I was struck by how collaborative and genuinely helpful everyone is. There's a real sense of support and teamwork here, and that makes a huge difference. I actually look forward to coming into the office because of the energy and positivity my colleagues bring — it’s an environment where I feel motivated and valued.
What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?
My biggest advice is to be genuinely curious and take the time to understand what consulting is really about — the work, the lifestyle, and the types of problems you’ll be solving. Talk to as many people as you can, not just to learn about different firms, but to get a sense of what excites you and where you see yourself thriving. Also, focus on telling your story clearly — why consulting, why now, and what unique strengths you bring. And finally, don’t underestimate the importance of fit — consulting is a people-driven industry, and feeling connected to a firm’s culture makes a big difference.
What should candidates know?
Candidates should know that consulting is as much about working with people as it is about solving problems. It’s fast-paced, challenging, and incredibly rewarding — but the real key is being a team player and staying curious. You don’t need to have everything figured out; what matters most is your willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow. And remember, the recruiting process is a two-way street — you’re not just trying to get an offer, you’re also figuring out where you’ll feel supported, challenged, and excited to show up every day.
